Today, she linked to a new project she's just posted on Kickstarter: She's soliciting funds from her fans to self-publish a book of poetry. This isn't so notable — people put doomed projects on Kickstarter all the time — except for one thing: "tanya77" is actually actor Justine Bateman.

Last seen in a guest role on the since-canceled "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior," Bateman is, of course, best known for playing Mallory Keaton on the beloved '80s sitcom "Family Ties." And if you still fondly remember the moment she committed to memory what "SCUBA" stands for, perhaps you'll want to throw a few bucks into her Kickstarter campaign.

The project, tentatively titled "Violence + Feathers," will be a collection of poetry and artwork Bateman produced in her twenties; she proposes a limited run of just 1000 copies of the book, though she's only given fans one month to donate the $19,000 she will need to do it.
